Need help finding your ancestors in our extensive collection of county and state history resources? We offer powerful “Look Up” services to assist your genealogical research.

AI Search Lookups

For a small fee, of $4.99 we’ll search 1 to 5 books using the paid Google Gemini Pro AI service. Please note books listed in the directory from Google Books and Familysearch.org are not included in this PDF lookup service for various reasons. Any other books in the directory but that are not part of this lookup service will be clearly marked as such in the directory. For example, some books can be read online, but there is no PDF download available.

How Our Look Up Service Works:

Our “Look Up” service utilizes a sophisticated AI search mechanism available for our extensive collection of scanned PDF documents. This allows us to quickly scan through thousands of pages to find references to your ancestors. The $4.99 fee includes up to 5 PDF results pages. Each results page after 5 will be $0.99.

Important Considerations:

• Search Limitations: While our search is powerful, it’s important to understand its limitations. Due to variations in scan quality and the nature of AI searches, results may not be 100% comprehensive. For example, names split across two lines with a hyphen might not be found.
• Accuracy: Search results are provided as book titles where your search term appears. It is important to know that PDF search results are not perfect. Some books may not return results even when an ancestor is mentioned particularly if scan quality of a particular page is poor.
• Copyrighted Materials: We are assembling a collection of books that are still under copyright and plan to make these available for lookups. As we move forward we will create a new index for these materials so check back periodically if you like.
• No Guarantee of Results: A lack of search results does not necessarily mean your ancestor is not mentioned in our books. It simply means the search mechanism did not identify a match. This service is designed to quickly scan a large number of pages.

Requesting a Look Up:

To request a “PDF Search Lookup,” please follow these steps:

1. Click the “Contact Us” link at the top of the page.
2. Provide the ancestor’s full name and the ID’s of the books you would like searched with Google’s Gemini Pro.
   For example:
   Book ID: CH.2023.12.04.2330.CD.AR
   Book ID: CH.2024.05.04.0024.CD.AR
   Book ID: CH.2024.05.04.0003.CD.AR
   Book ID: CH.2023.12.05.1147.CD.AR

3. Specify any other relevant information, such as approximate dates or locations within the state they lived.
4. We will reply with the PayPal address to send the fee to.
